Bats are mysterious, spellbinding, and a lot like us! Join us for a fascinating lesson with our preserved bats and learn what makes them entrancing little creatures.

Gone Batty 2022 will be held in-person and virtually.

 

All ages welcome and families are encouraged to attend together.

Gone Batty (In-Person)

Ages: all ages
Cost: $30

Our in-person lesson will be held at ArtSpace (2833-A Hathaway Road, Richmond 23225). Attendees will be working with preserved bats (stored in Carosafe®).

Gone Batty (Virtual)

Ages: all ages
Cost: $30

Our virtual lessons will be held over Zoom and preserved bats (stored in Carosafe®) will be available to pick-up on loan from the MSiC's new location inside Central United Methodist Church (1211 Porter Street, Richmond, 23224) in Manchester. 

Important Information for Parents & Guardians

Lessons can be attended by anyone of any age (young children must be accompanied by an adult). Small groups and families are encouraged. One lesson kit containing a preserved bat, protective gear, and observation tools will be provided per single attendee or group/family.

Lesson kits will be available for pick-up before virtual lessons. The bats and tools must be returned following the lesson. Pick-up and drop-off return dates and times are detailed in registration.
